New creative experiences ✨

Hi Reader,

I hope this month has been good to you. I'm currently weathering the blizzard moving through the Northeast. Can winter be over now? 😅

This month, I've been busy with a type design course I'm taking with Type Electives, and it's been so much fun ☺️ (even with the weekly homework). My teacher is Libbie Bischoff of Type Du Nord, and I highly recommend subscribing to her newsletter if you're curious about type design. After the class wraps up, I look forward to sharing what I've been working on with you.

Besides that, I have an upcoming event and resources for you, including my next livestream and a paid opportunity for emerging creatives. You'll find all the details below, and I'll see you in the next newsletter with a special announcement. ✨

Join me LIVE on YouTube 🎥

Join me LIVE on my YouTube channel this Friday, February 27, at 1 p.m. EST for Part 2 of me working in the new free Affinity by Canva.

Thanks to everyone who tuned in for Part 1! This will be Part 2, and I'll continue exploring the program and sharing my process as I work on a personal lettering project.

If you’re curious about what this new free software has to offer, tune in to ask questions or work along with me. Hope to see you there!

Free Studioworks Library

If you're a freelancer who has ever scratched their head over how to run their business, these free tools from fellow lettering artist Jessica Hische & the Studioworks team can help.

Their free Studioworks Library is a gold mine for things I use all the time in my business, like a resource for organizing your finances, writing e-mails, and more. If you don't need them, spread the word and share them with a friend or fellow creative.

Photoshop (Beta) Splash Screen

As part of the Adobe Creative Apprenticeship, Adobe is seeking proposals from emerging creatives to be the next Photoshop (Beta) splash screen artist.

This is a paid opportunity to have your artwork featured in the app for about a month and a chance to be featured across Adobe's social channels. If this sounds like a dream opportunity, and you love using Photoshop, I encourage you to apply!

Read the project overview in detail and send a proposal. Good luck!
